Jack Delaney - For Council
Jack Delaney served with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office for more than 25 years. He was a Captain in charge of Administration, overseeing a staff of 100.
After a full and rewarding career in law enforcement, while living in Dover, he was elected to the office of Alderman where he served 6 years.
Jack moved to Mount Arlington in 2013 and joined the Borough Council 9 years ago. Mr. Delaney serves as the Borough Emergency Management Coordinator along with the Chief of Police. He leads the Mount Arlington Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and is the RESCUE, ALARM,CONFINE,EXTINGUISH/EVACUATE (RACES) Coordinator.
Jack and his wife Gail have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. After raising their children they moved to Mount Arlington when they found their dream house, and settled into the wonderful lake community.

Melissa Fostle - For Council
Melissa Fostle has served on the Mount Arlington Borough Council since January 2020. She is the Council’s Land Use Board liaison. She has served on the board for eighteen years and as the Vice Chairwoman for the last ten. Fostle currently chairs the Finance and Economic Development committee for the Borough Council. She is also a Republican County Committee member for Mount Arlington District 4.
Fostle is a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Jersey. Her primary work focus was the design and construction of state and federal highways. She is also experienced in land development and land use planning projects.
Melissa’s community focus is implementing sound fiscal management practices that allow the Borough to maintain a low municipal tax rate. She has encouraged smart growth principles and land use planning methods to facilitate positive development, and spearheaded the Borough of Mount Arlington’s Aesthetics Ordinance. Among her current projects are park improvement plans that will serve all Mount Arlington residents.

Melissa and her husband Kevin O’Brien are twenty-year residents of Lake Rogerene. Now that their daughter, a recent graduate from the Mount Arlington and Roxbury school districts, has chosen to continue her education at her mother’s alma mater Rutgers, Melissa and Kevin are empty-nesters.
Councilwoman Fostle is dedicated to the Mount Arlington community and hopes to continue serving her fellow residents.
